The Trident Amateur Radio Club was formed in April 1973.

The original meeting was held to discuss the formation of a local ham club dedicated to the Novice licensee.

The first President was Tom Lufkin WA4DAX.

The club engaged in Field Day, Licensing Classes and other activities to help the new ham get active.

We are still active helping the new ham get active and learn more about the hobby.

We hold "Operating Days" allowing the new Technician class operaters experience puting an HF station on the air and operating on HF.

We sponser licensing classes for the Technician and General class licenses.

We participate in Winter Field Day and the ARRL Field Day

Membership is open to anyone interested in the Ham hobby
